Gulf Coast VilliageMD Closures
As of Friday, March 15, 2024, Village Medical Clinics (VillageMD) ceased operation of their medical clinics located inside Walgreens pharmacies in the Orlando, Tampa, and Gulf Coast areas.
Impact on Florida Blue Members
The closure of VillageMD clinics affects approximately 7,500 Florida Blue members who were using VillageMD as their Primary Care Provider (PCP). Affected members received a letter during the week of March 8, 2024, notifying them of the closures and providing instructions for selecting a new PCP. You can view the letter here.
Next Steps for Members
VillageMD has been removed from Florida Blue's online provider directory. Members are reminded that there can be no continuity of care with VillageMD providers after the closures.
